Happy Anniversary # 1!!!

Well so last weekend we went on a little trip down to St. George for our 1st Anniversary!! It was so great! We had a wonderful time just being together away from all the stress of finals and life and just getting out and having fun. We left early Friday morning and went straight to Zions National Park and did some hiking. We then went swimming and to dinner at iggy's. Yeah nice place but not nice enough for the price. Saturday morning we got up and went to the St. George temple and did sealings. Very beautiful temple! So that was a wonderful experience doing that for our anniversary and remembering our wedding day and all the promises we made to each other. Then we spent the rest of the day shopping, going to the movie "Earth" which is really good by the way, and ending the night with dinner at the Pizza Factory!!! Yum! Scott had never eaten there before so we had to go! He had to experience the breadsticks on a stick! But here are some pics of our wonderful weekend away from reality!

On the way down. Silly Scott!

Us at Pioneer Village. We went to all the little art gallery exhibits. We love those. We found some art by a Wade there and I talked to the lady about it. She said the artist is related to Steve and Marsha Wade and I told her I was related to them. Found out she is in Marsha's book club so I told her who I was so she could say hi. She also went on about the women in that family since I told her I was related to them through Marsha. She said, "the women in your family are all the same. You are all beautiful, small build, and never seem to age!" I thought that was funny! Cause it's pretty darn true! Mom lets see you're turning 60 this year and you have what....5 gray hairs:) I hope I got your genes!!!

It's ok Scott I found someone else too who just can't keep his eyes off me!!
Anyways, we had fun! I love you Scott! Thanks for a wonderful Anniversary! We made it one year (which went by so fast!), I can't wait to make it to 2!

Gardening

Holy Crap! I don't know if I will ever be able to bring myself to pulling weeds again. I still am freaking out. So mom's front garden needed to be weeded and since today is such a beautiful day I decided well I guess I'll go do it. So I'm half way through and Mom has this one really big rose bush that had a ton of leaves clear from the fall that were still all gathered under it. So I carefully start getting the leaves and push them down in the bucket that I had and for some reason I don't know why I looked down at my arm.....Oh my gosh! I can't even say it with out freaking out! The hugest spider I think I have ever incountered in my whole life was on my arm!!! It's body was the size of a quarter!! This big brown hairy thing!! I freaked out! I wipe it off, throw all my gardening stuff and start screaming and doing this crazy I had a spider on my arm dance!!! I was freaking out! All the neighborhood dogs started barking, Oreo started coming around the corner ready for action scared someone was hurting me or something!! Oh my gosh I still can't breath!! Anyways, I had to tell someone so there you go! Hope you have a good day that doesn't involve spiders!!

aquarium and new car!!!

Another field trip!!! And as the title says we got a new car!!! Yes we did! We finally got rid of the honda (sold it to carmax) and got us a 2003 toyota camery!! We love it! It drives so smooth, no huge oil leek and we can actually go through a drive through without opening the whle door! It's fantastic! Anyways, here's some pics. Like I said we went to the aquarium the other day for a field trip. It was a blast!

Allie doing her fish face for me :)

Kenna, Allie and Edwin. Kenna can't hold herself up that's why she looks awkward right there. But we can't let the kids miss out on all the fun just because of their disability that's lame.

And this is our new car!!! So exciting I know! Perfect time for our first anniversary!!! What a good present for both of us!

Easter Weekend!

Well I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Our was pretty nice. Scott had friday off work and so we got to hang out all day. It was wonderful! It was nice to just take a break for a day. Friday night my friends Paige and John got married! They're just so cute! Basically they did a me and Scott only a year behind. So Paige waited for him on his mission he got home about a month before when Scott did last year and they got married about two weeks before our 1 yr. It was fun to do the missionary thing with some else. here's a picture:

They are just so stinking cute.

Saturday night We were up til midnight, me making cookies and Scott writing a paper. So We waited until Easter morning to frost the cookies. I've decided instead of coloring eggs that niether of us will eat we could color something different.....and it was a great bribery tool in primary!
After church we went to Scott's parents for a family dinner. It was a fun night with the fam. Scott forgot the camera or I would have pics but we went for a walk to see the sheep down by Sandy Elementary and The kids were so funny. Nathan walked right up to the sheep that was at the fence and says, "What's your name sheep?" and later the sheep baaed at him and he said, "Oh! That's your name!" He was just so funny. And they had a little baby lamb that was just leaping all over the place, it was so cute!

This is what we got from the Easter Bunny!!

I love my dress!!! I have wanted a whole dress for such a long time and I finally found one that fit me without showing my garments at either end!! And it's so pretty! And my husband looks pretty dang cute too if I do say so myself! :p

This was so funny. So we decided to get Oreo a little Easter treat too....well that's what she thought of it. she just howeled at us and then she picked it up and went straight away trying to find some place to bury it at. It was really cute watching her run around with it in her mouth. And it is buried already. I have no idea where it is. Silly dog!

General Conference!

I love General Conference! It is my favorite, I always look forward to it! This Conference Holy Cow!!! For those of you who missed it....I just feel bad. I learned so many lessons. It was just such a wonderful day yesturday too! And beautiful! And I made an amazing yummy dinner!! It was probably one of the best meals I have ever cooked!.....I'm not proud :)

I loved Elder Hollands talk also Michele. It was so amazing. I mean you hear all the time about how Christ went through what you went through, but wow. I have never....Elder Holland just made it so clear and touching. I've never thought of it that deeply before. For those of you who missed it he talked about how Chirst was alone. And if you have ever felt alone....you need to re-read this talk.

I also loved Elder Hales talk on provident living. I needed that one. It's just funny growing up....I have learned so much. Spending money was always fun when I was young.....what I didn't know. I also loved Elder Oaks talk on not being slefish and Gary E. Stevenson's talk on evaluating our homes and making them more like the temple, a place where the spirit can dwell.

And you're right Michele, I feel that way after Conference too. It's just really refreshing it just makes you feel good. I just love the gospel and the words of the prophets and the guidence it gives me in my life. I know I'm not perfect, infact I have a lot I need to improve on, but I am trying to follow the counsel given by the prophets. I just can't wait for the Enign to come out so I can go over them again!!

Real Ice skating!!

Last Friday we went on a field trip ice skating! It was such a blast! The kids had so much fun, and I have to say I did too! I was with Jesus J. for most of the time while we were there. He is a boy who is in a wheelchair most of the time. But we got a walker for him recently and he loves it! And he is super fast in it! It so funny because he hast to be the most cordinated little handicapped kid I've ever scene. If he didn't have this disability I just know he would be a little soccor player or something. But it was a lot of fun and I just had to post some pics!

Edwin trying out Jesus J.'s walker with ice skates on even, after Jesus was finally tired!

After Jesus J. finally got tired we put him into his power chair (one that he can drive himself with his head) and Allie was so funny she would go up and just grab onto his chair and Jesus would pull her around.

Me and Jesus J.! He's so stinkin' cute! And he loves to go fast!

There he is again by himself

And here's the whole group after we were done.
