24th weekend!

Well me and Scott had an awesome 24th weekend! Scott got off at 3 Thursday and we both had the rest of the weekend off to just hang out. So Thursday we started right away. All we new is we wanted to go downtown and just hang out, so off we went. We ended up at the SLC cemetary first(don't ask me how cause I have know idea) but it was awesome. If you have neer been there you should go. It is HUGE! We accidentally came upon President Kimball's grave which then started us on a journey to find more Presidents of our church burried up there. We ended up finding, Kimball, Mckay, Joseph F and Joseph Fielding Smith's, some of Brigham young's wives, Wilford Woodruff and wives....it was so cool. We always talk about going on a trip back east and visiting all the church history sites together because I have done it before and I want Scott to be able to experience it, but having the opportunity which I never thought of before to go up to the SLC cemetary and visit all those great men, the spirit was amazing. You read there headstone and remember all they went through and have done for the church and the spirit just floods over you....and then for me the water works begins:). Anyways, it was awesome!
We then parked the car and walked to temple square. Scott had never been on a Beehive house tour before and I hadn't been for a long time, so we went. It was just us on the tour which was nice. It's just so great and wonderful to do those kind of things every so often to kind of take you bake and remind yourself of our pioneer ancestors and the sacrifices they made for us and also the path that they laid for us. It just makes me so grateful! Scott loved it too! He is so funny in those kinds of places, I'm always ready to move on and he is still just taking it in. It's those kind of moments I just love him even more:)

The next morning we hiked ensign peak. Something neither one of us had ever done. BLAH! I also don't know if I will ever do it again. At least not at 1:00 in the afternoon on one of the hottest days of the year!
A beautiful view though.
We then went to a bees game that night. It was fun even though the bees lost 12 to 1. We did get to see the fireworks though.
Saturday we went to the parade! I love the parade. I just love seeing all the floats and the happy people!
us waiting.
Scott always wanted to be a motorcycle cop:)

After the parade we went to Nana and Papa's for the 24th and had us a yummy lunch and got out the slipin' slide and pool and watched the kids play for a bit.
